Joseph B. Thompson, formerly known as DJ Bling, has been an integral leader in the Austin community since 2008. Well-Known as a DJ and Entrepreneur, Joseph has been instrumental in the success of many local and national young artists in the music industry. His passion for youth and equipping them for successful futures led to the formation of DJ Bling Foundation in 2013 and he has made significant impacts in the lives of thousands of children..
Joseph holds a Bachelors in Music Business and a Masters in Digital Marketing both from Full Sail University. He is currently pursuing a second Masters in Divinity at Liberty University. He is an ordained Pastor at Christian Interactive Fellowship Church and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
At only 7 years old it was Giselle's inspiration and kind heart that led to the idea to establish a way to give school supplies to kids at school. Now at age 12, Giselle is Vice-President of DJ Bling Foundation as has always helped in many areas such as ideas for activities and games, picking out designs for backpacks, and also helping organize and set up events. Giselle is currently in the 6th grade taking all honors courses as well as in Theatre and on the step team. Giselle looks to go on to college and be an example to other kids.
Gerlicia "GG" Francis brings years of experience in licensed childcare and educational development. For over a decade she has successfully served in roles as Assistant Preschool Director, Camp Counselor, Assistant Site Director, and a substitute teacher. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology to become a licensed counselor. At DJ Bling Foundation, GG strives to make sure children and their families have the resources they need and are supported in every way possible. In addition, she is also an ordained Pastor at Christian Interactive Fellowship Church.
Sharita Young has worked 11 years in healthcare as a Medical Assistant and a Referral Coordinator. She is currently pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management from Concordia University in Austin, Texas. Ms. Young is founder of Royalty, an organization advocating for youth and the adolescent. She has served as Secretary on numerous ministry and organizational committees and has a strong proficiency for accounting. In addition, Ms. Young is a mother of two children and shares a passion for the success of all youth in her community.
Founding Board Member and President of Capitol View Arts. Commissioner on the Austin African American Resource Advisory Committee. Clifford attended the University of Texas and has a degree in Marketing.
Co-Pastor at Christian Interactive Fellowship Church. Nicholas has a degree in Business Administration from Austin Community College.
