Each year DJ Bling Foundation has partnered with the City of Austin Transportation Department and the Austin Police Department to provide free bikes to kids from low-income families. The kids complete a free road safety course given by the transportation department and afterward they receive a free bike, helmet, lock, and lights that can be used to bike to school each day if parents permit.
Since its inception in 2018, our bike program has provided 250 free bikes to kids primarily in the Austin area. Due to COVID-19 in 2020, the program was put on hold but we look forward to continuing this unique program soon.
